Expectation: Startups offer more creative freedom than traditional companies.
In reality, this was absolutely true. I was encouraged to suggest ideas for social media content, partner outreach, and brand messaging.

ACTILIB valued initiative and fresh perspectives. Unlike rigid corporate hierarchies, the startup welcomed experimentation and learning by doing. I was given full creative freedom to develop content ideas for social media, especially for reels and posts. I proposed themes like "3 benefits in [Name of an activity]" "Discover [Name of the activity] in [Name of the partner worshop]"...
I was allowed to visit any partner site I wanted to film, and I had complete control over the editing process, including music selection, visuals, and storytelling. This trust in my creativity not only confirmed my expectations, but also helped me build real confidence in taking the lead on content production entirely.
However, this freedom sometimes came with a lack of clear feedback or structured guidance. Without a defined approval process or content guidelines, I occasionally felt unsure if my choices were fully aligned with the brand strategy. While flexibility was a strength, it also required me to self-evaluate and adjust more frequently.
